    Uzbek authorities ban hijab-wearing women
    Argentina Star
    Friday 28th August, 2009

Uzbek authorities have told Muslim women in the country not to wear the Islamic veil, or hijab, during 18th anniversary celebrations of Uzbekistan’s independence on September 1st.

Hijab wearing women in Uzbekistan have told Radio Free Europe that police officers have already started approaching them for identity papers.

The officers have expressly told the women not to wear the hijab on September 1st, because their loose-fitting clothes could be used by terrorists to conceal their identities or to hide explosives.

Uzbek women told to wear Western clothing

Let these beautiful women show their body with all those natural curves, which will stimulate the immagination of us men. Women should be seen with their natural beauty, and not kept hidden in a sack, this will give a women her natural dignity as a person, and not be kept as a personal property of those that think that they are the owners of another human. Freedom, freedom, freedom, is something that is being denied to muslim women, yes, yes, freedom of choice as human beins. Sammy, an international free thinker

Hi there international free thinker, Free thinking is good, in some extent, but free thinking must be based on facts and solid knowledge which I do not see in you. Please consult to some medical and other scientific discoveries which prove about the advantages of veil for women. I suggest you at least to find scientist Harun Yakhya`s videos to learn a little about Islam and its foundations before foolishly thinking. Your brain can not contain all knowledge and be careful to express some of your crazy opinions!

It is interesting that the Koran which is the foundation of Islam is incorrectly translated into Arabic.. The Koran was originally written in the language of the time.. that is Aramaic and later incorrectly translated into Arabic.. If you truly wish to follow your prophet then you should GET YOUR FACT RIGHT ABOUT THE KORAN with original texts discovered in Aramaic.. wow back to the drawing board .... please read, if you really care about your prophet = The Syro-Aramaic Reading of the Koran: A Contribution to the Decoding of the Language of the Koran by Christoph Luxenberg

Careful, your brain cannot and does not contain all knowledge. The veil has its uses, but to demand that women wear it all the time is the height of stupidity and arrogance. Women have the right to dress the way they wish, and Islam has NO power to change that.

I believe you have incorrectly cited the history of the Bible - that was originally in Aramaic. The Quran was written in Arabic (which was the language in the area in which it was revealed). Your claim that it was originally in Aramaic is pretty laughable. Where is your proof (and one loony author is not proof). In fact, it is continually warned in Islam about the imperfect translations of the Quran in anything other than the original arabic language.

Sammy, Women have been subjected to the lustful gazes and objectification of men throughout history. The veil gives the woman her dignity. Also, whoever they CHOOSE for a husband, this person cannot come home to her drunk, he cannot gamble their assets, he HAS to provide her (and their children) with food water and shelter, and he is disallowed to interact flirtatiously with other women (or even touch them). What 'property' has this many rights upon his/her 'owner'?
    By Sammy, 08-28-09, 11:29 AM

    There are no owners

Anonymous 08-28-09, 05:33 AM No person can be owned by another person, and each person is free to choose, touch or be touched if so wishes. Each person is free to dress as he or she pleases, eat the food that he wants to eat, and no religion, or government should dictate on a person’s personal preferences. But unfortunately we still have some cultures that practice to abuse a person’s civil rights, and impose archaic religious rights which impose their fanatisim upon others, breaking all basic civil rights that each human is born with. These religious fanatics should be brought to a special international tribunal to face crimes against humanity, human rights abuses, as well as mental torture towards those who are constantly being brainwashed with this religious fanatism that is being constantly imposed upon the mentally weak, gullible, un-reducated that cannot think for themselves to realize that they are being taken advantage of, and kept isolated in a mentally getto of these religious fanatics to prey upon them. Sammy, an international free thinker, whose wish is to liberate these captive minds, from these fanatics who prey upon them.

Man's basic freedom is the only fact

Antony 08-28-09, 01:05 AM Yes each man is born with the basic freedom of a free choice, which no one cannot deny it. A person is free to dress as he or she pleases, no person can be the owner of another person, each person can choose his or her mate, without consent from others. no person after marriage loses his basic civil rights. freedom has its limits, Sammy!!!

You have a lot to learn about Islam before talking nonsense. There is freedom but do it accordingly and not against what you are told not to do.You want women to expose themselves so that men can admire their body, thus leads them to lustful thinking and raping women ? Islam protects the dignity of women not exposing them to negative thoughts of men. From your writing i know you don’t understand Islam at all. Islam is beautiful and a perfect religion to all mankind. Please keep your western mentality to yourself. You don’t mind some men whistling at your wife when they start to admire her beautiful curves and want to touch her as you said freedom and nobody posesses anybody. If you have respect for women, you would not be writing like this. Think twice and don’t insult Islam with your beliefs. Provoking is only asking for trouble.

Islam does not protect anything but the believed superiority of men over women and of Islam over all other religions. DO NOT use Islam to justify anything as Islam is a false religion, created by a mad perverted pedophile to justify his lusts and perversions.

Islam is a beautiful religion if only you take the time to study it.I feel sad that some muslims are behaving badly thereby non-muslims are thinking that the faith itself is bad. The vast majority of Muslims are following the tolerent Sufi variety which is in no way seeking to impose on others. As for the Hijab( the covering of hair)its a personal choice. Regarding the Niqab( face covering) i as a muslim feel uncomfortable with it, so of course non-muslims are uncomfortable about it. Niqab is not even an islamic requirement and is doing more damage to muslims.

Sorry, but Islam is a demonic cult. I have seen too many times where women have been raped, beaten, mutilated, murdered, etc by those who claim that Islam told them. Even now, we have what looks like an Islamic nutcase who tried to detonate a car bomb in New York’s Times Square. No religion would condone such evil behavior.
